Adventures with Dug the Pug | Pet Portrait Session | Santa Monica, CA

I’m excited to share my session with Dug the Pug and Tina. We had an adventure day out in Santa Monica. The weather was gorgeous and it was the perfect day for a shoot. Dug is such a character, he is the most adorable pug I’ve ever met! Tina and Dug had such great chemistry and we had a lot of fun in Santa Monica. For more of Dug’s adventures you can follow him on this twitter!

Just look at that adorable face. How can you deny this little doggy a treat?

Ernesto

I met a really awesome make up artist tonight at my shoot. Self taught and also a wonderful photographer, heart of gold to match. He stood in while I was setting up and I just loved some of his expressions.

I’m looking forward to working with you more Ernesto! Check out some of his awesome work here

JC MacNeil

I had a quick shoot tonight after work – a variety of headshots for a Doctor, my first guy couple shoot, and a few of my dear JC who always looks beautiful. I have so many photos to go through, but here is a sneak peak and one of my favorites from tonight.

Photographer’s notes:

While I was in London, I had the pleasure of meeting a talented gown designer, Chantal Mallet. I wanted to start with a Wonderland themed shoot and Chantal designed and created this dress in 15 hours. Ah-Mazing. This was my take on Alice meets Gaga in Wonderland. You wouldn’t believe but we shot this on a drizzly grey day in London.

For you strobists out there, I shot this with a 580EXII shot through an umbrella. It was a windy day and we almost lost it at some point but thankfully I had the MUA hold the stand!

As well as shooting the Alice piece, I also had the pleasure of shooting another of Chantal’s beautiful creations and this became the Queen of Hearts piece. It was literally about to pour in rain right after we shot these.
