A visit with Baby Imogen

A visit with Baby Imogen

A few weeks ago I flew up to Scotland to visit my childhood friend Sarah who is no longer just a childhood friend but a Doctor, a wife, and a wonderful mother. I went during a difficult time with her baby as Imogen had just caught chicken pox. Luckily, Sarah had checked before I got on the plane that I’d already had chicken pox so I was safe to be around Imogen. We’d originally planned to do some family portraits but it was rainy and since Imogen was poorly we decided to focus on making her feel better and play with her and distract her from her chicken pox as much as possible. Upon meeting Imogen, she was very shy but warmed up very quickly. One of her favorite toys was this pink ball she’d always give me and she also loved to watch classic old music videos and dance along. She is a wonderful little girl and I loved getting to know her. It was also a great time for me to catch up with Sarah and see what an amazing mother she has become. She cooks and makes all of Imogen’s baby food despite her busy work schedule and tells great bedtime stories and is just so natural as a mother. As well as meeting Imogen for the first time, I was also meeting her husband Niall for the first time. He is also a great father and a loving husband. We had a short visit this time, but next time I’m back in England I’m definitely going to visit for longer.

Here are some more photos from my visit (including a visit to the river to feed some ducks in the rain and playing at home). Thank you Sarah and Niall for such wonderful hospitality while I was there 🙂
